IDB Agrees With Implementation Of 4 Giant Projects In Iran

Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA – Islamic Development Bank (IDB) agreed with implementation of four infrastructural and development projects in Iran by the end of 2012. The agreement was reached between the IDB chief Ahmad Mohammad Ali and Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini in a meeting held on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund underway in Tokyo, Japan. During the meeting, the Iranian minister called on the Islamic Development Bank to cooperate with Iran in financing domestic projects. He also agreed with dispatching of a delegation to prepare grounds for a four-year cooperation and development of ties with companies affiliated to the IDB. The IDB manager expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between his bank and Iran and called for further exchange of views to speed up implementation of the projects./end
