Uganda's First Lady visits Thailand's royal project

SAMUT PRAKAN, THAILAND, November 16 (TNA) - Uganda's First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni, on Friday visited Thailand's royal-initiated project on a hybrid agriculture based on the Sufficiency Economy Principle advised by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Janet, who is accompanying Ugandan President Youveri Museveni for a three-day official visit to Thailand from November 15-17, visited the royal-initiated Lukphradabos Project in Bangkok's suburban Samut Prakan Province, along with Ugandan Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office. The Ugandan First Lady expressed her keen interest in the royal project, saying that she will apply the Lukphradabos Project for Uganda's national development. The royal-initiated Lukphradabos Project now becomes a centre for learning and agricultural technological transfers to help farmers increase the value of their farm produce, covering Thai herbs, as well as to promote the use of alternative energy, to be a venue of study tours and to provide trainings for farmers, students and the general public.
