Thai PM to attend late Cambodian King's funeral

BANGKOK, January 26 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is scheduled to visit neighbouring Cambodia early next month to attend the funeral of late Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk . Lieutenant General Pharadorn Phatthanathabutr, Secretary-General of the National Security Council (NSC), told journalists that Premier Yingluck will attend the funeral of the late Cambodian King on February 4. According to the NSC chief, the Thai prime minister will also meet her Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen during her upcoming trip to Phnom Penh, during which the Thai and Cambodian leaders are expected to discuss border issues related to the Preah Vihear Temple. Oral explanations of Thai and Cambodian legal teams before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on a case filed by Phnom Penh, seeking the ICJ's interpretation of its verdict in 1962 concerning an unsettled area surronding the ancient Preah Vihear Temple, has been set from April 15-19, 2013 and the Hague-based World Court is expected to rule on the case in late October 2013.(TNA)
