Iran, Pakistan Presidents Stress Role Of New Pipeline In Regional Security, Stability

Tehran, March 11, IRNA – Presidents of Iran and Pakistan on Monday stressed the role of peace gas pipeline in promoting regional security and stability. The two presidents made the remark in a short meeting in Chabahar airport in southeastern Iran. They stressed making use of all existing potentials in Iran and Pakistan to enhance progress and welfare of the two nations. They reiterated that construction of Iran-Pakistan pipeline project would further bolster economic, political and security ties between Tehran and Islamabad as well as all regional states. Presidents of Iran and Pakistan are in southeastern Iran on the joint border point to inaugurate the joint peace pipeline project. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Chabahar this morning to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.
