UN sec gen says use of chemical weapons is unacceptable

TEHRAN,April 16(MNA) – In a letter to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the use of chemical weapons is a great crime and is unacceptable, Iranian media reported on Monday. Salehi had recently written a letter to the UN secretary general in which he condemned the reported use of chemical weapons in the crisis-hit Syria and asked the international organization to investigate the issue and take the measures necessary to prevent similar incidents. Ban wrote in his letter that the results of the UN investigation into the incident would be announced to the member states.
