Iran Deputy FM, UN Rep. Review Afghan Developments

Tehran, May 22, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Abbas Araqchi and special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Afghanistan Ján Kubiš here Tuesday reviewed the latest developments in Afghanistan. During their first round of talks, Araqchi and the visiting Kubiš discussed the presence of foreign forces in Afghanistan, stressing they should leave the country. The two also held talks on the next presidential elections in Afghanistan. The questions related to Afghan migrants were among the issues discussed by the two officials. Kubiš is planned to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi as well officials in charge of anti-narcotics activities on Wednesday./end
