Turkey Imports 13 Tons Of Coconut Flour From n Sulawesi

Manado, N Sulawesi, Aug 15 (Antara) - Turkey imported 13 tons of coconut flour from North Sulawesi province during the first semester of 2014, Head of Foreign Trade Division at the provincial industry and trade office T. Hasudungan Siregar noted on Friday. "The coconut flour products exported to Turkey are able to generate foreign exchange worth US$28,730," Hasudungan remarked. The ongoing crisis in several Middle Eastern countries has not affected the shipment of commodities to the country, he stated. "Mostly, North Sulawesi`s exported commodities are food products, so in any event, a country will need the products. The international crisis will not affect the export activities from the province," Hasudungan stated. With regard to the volume, the quantity of coconut flour exported to Turkey is relatively smaller than that exported to the European countries. However, the export of these products to Turkey has opened a new market, and hence, created new opportunities for the future.
