Polish President receives Salehi

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Iran's Vice-President and Head of Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi met with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw on Thursday and discussed with Polish leader issues of mutual interests. During the visit, Salehi and President Duda explored grounds for developing bilateral cooperation and the two officials announced by the two countries reaching preliminary agreements between the two countries for launching joint venture projects. Salehi also conveyed greetings of President Hassan Rouhani to the Polish President and expressed hope for the establishment of significant cooperation between the two countries in the field of peaceful nuclear energy. President Duda, on his part, expressed his support for the bilateral agreements signed between Tehran and Warsaw, and said his country was eager to develop its political, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation with the Islamic Republic. Prior to his meeting with President Duda, Iran's head of Atomic Energy Organization visited Poland's National Center for Nuclear Research. Salehi had already met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Glinski as well as heads of Senate and House of Representatives in the Polish capital, Warsaw. 1378/IRNA
