Iran, Afghanistan security officials discuss mutual issues

Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA – Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani met with his Afghan counterpart Hamdullah Mohib in Kabul on Wednesday to discuss issues of mutual interest. Shamkhani, the representative of Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Kabul on Wednesday. Besides his counterpart, Shamkhani will visit Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah and some other Afghan officials. On his one-day visit, Shamkhani is accompanied by some security, political and military officials. He is making the visit at the invitation of National Security Adviser of Afghanistan Hamdullah Mohib. Enhancing political, economic and security relations, countering terrorism and organized crimes, and border and regional cooperation are among the goals of Shamkhani's visit to Afghanistan.
