SCIA President receives Egyptian Ambassador

Manama, May 8 (BNA): Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), received Reham Abdelhamid Khalil, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed highlighted the longstanding and strong ties between the two countries. He underscored both countries’ commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to strengthen cooperation in various sectors.

On her part, the Ambassador commended the strong Bahrain-Egypt relations, particularly in religious and cultural areas.

During the meeting, the Ambassador presented a gift from Dr. Osama Al Azhari, Minister of Endowments of Egypt, consists of a collection of religious and scholarly publications issued by the Ministry, in recognition of the strong intellectual and spiritual ties between the two countries.
