Vietnam launches 2025 sustainable business programme

Hanoi, June 6 (VNA) – The Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, launched the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) programme on June 5 in Hanoi.
The CSI 2025 programme will recognise 100 leading sustainable businesses, including a Top 10 in manufacturing and trade-services. It also marks the 10th anniversary of the initiative by honouring companies that have consistently ranked in the Top 10 or Top 100.
VCCI Vice President and VBCSD Chairman Nguyen Quang Vinh highlighted the programme’s significance in supporting policies that promote exemplary and socially responsible businesses, as reflected in recent Party resolutions.
CSI 2025 features a more transparent, objective, and scientific evaluation process, comprising three main stages and ensuring strict data confidentiality. The updated index includes 145 indicators, with a balance between basic compliance and advanced initiative-based criteria.
A simplified version of the index with 87 indicators has been designed for micro and small enterprises to encourage broader participation.
Notably, the 2025 programme incorporates digital transformation, including a new online platform, AI-powered guidance, and linked data systems to ease the application process and support long-term sustainable reporting.
Applications are accepted online at no cost. The programme also introduces new awards for outstanding efforts in thematic areas of sustainable business development.
At the launch, enterprises such as Traphaco and Deep C shared experiences in applying the CSI framework./.
