Industry Minister receives UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade

Manama, June 12 (BNA): Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, during an official visit to Bahrain.
Minister Fakhro highlighted the Bahraini-Emirati ties. He noted the advanced level of cooperation between the two nations, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
He emphasised the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economic development, to discover new opportunities and mutual benefits for both countries and their people.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi expressed pride in the enduring and strategic relationship between Bahrain and the UAE. He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening collaboration across all economic sectors, especially trade and investment.
The two ministers toured the newly inaugurated UAE Investors Centre in Bahrain. Minister Fakhro noted that Emirati investments play a vital role in enhancing economic ties, reflecting years of fruitful cooperation. He emphasised the Centre’s significance as a key gateway for expanding joint investments and facilitating cross-border business ventures.
The visit also included a joint participation in a workshop on Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA), organised by the UAE negotiation team. The session showcased the UAE’s experience in forging CEPA agreements.
