Interior Ministry’s Pace Stick Teams win first place at Sandhurst Pace Sticking Championship

London, June 13 (BNA): Two teams from the Ministry of Interior’s Pace Stick Division secured first and third place at the annual Inter-Company Pace Sticking Competition, organised by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
The competition featured 21 teams from around the world. Corporal Sayed Abulhassan Shirazi was also awarded the Best Team Leader prize.
Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Police Academy, said that this achievement reflects the unwavering support of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He emphasised the Minister’s commitment to empowering and supporting the team, which has enabled them to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain with distinction on the international stage and reinforce its presence across various fields.
He also commended the close follow-up of Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, and his continued efforts to promote excellence and motivate performance across the Ministry.
Major-General Al Hassan commended the dedication and discipline demonstrated by the team members, highlighting their high morale, teamwork, and full readiness throughout the competition.
He added that the Royal Police Academy will continue training its teams for participation in international forums as part of its academic and operational mandate.
