Bahrain Foreign Minister, UK Minister of State hold telephone call

Manama, June 13 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Hamish Falconer, Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan at the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

The ministers discussed cooperation and coordination, as well as means to enhance joint efforts across various domains to serve shared interests.

They also reviewed regional developments and addressed the ongoing military escalation between Israel and Iran and its implications for regional security and stability. They stressed the importance of reducing tensions, halting escalation, and continuing US-Iran negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear programme in order to preserve regional peace and stability.
