Sci-Tech Exchanges for Promoting People's Health and Wellbeing in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Sci-tech exchanges conducive to promoting the people's health and wellbeing were made from August 4 to 6 under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of Biopharmacy and the Korean Association of Cosmetics Industry under the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Presented to a symposium and scientific research presentation held at the Biomedicine Institute of the Academy of Medical Science to solve the problems arising in mass-producing biomedicines were papers of Kim Il Sung University and the Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences on updating production lines and developing new medicines effective in the treatment of various diseases.
A symposium on solving problems arising in developing the essential oils of laundry soaps, confirming the method of adding essential oils and improving the quality was held at the Songchon County Daily Necessities Factory.
Present there were scientists, technicians and field officials of the the Essential Oil and Cosmetic Analysis Institute of the Academy of Light Industry and daily necessities factories in Jaeryong and Unchon counties.
There took place a presentation and question-and-answer session on the data on achievements made in realizing the domestic production of essential oils and enhancing the quality and production of laundry soaps by dint of regional materials.
During the period, there were a lecture on the plan for developing biopharmacy and a meeting to discuss the practical matters arising in producing soaps. -0-
