Foreign Ministry marks 50 Years of Bahrain–Mexico diplomatic relations

Manama, Aug. 5 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the United Mexican States, which commenced in 1975.
The Ministry expressed the Kingdom’s pride in the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Mexico, founded on mutual respect and shared values, and underscored the steady progress in bilateral cooperation across various domains.
It underscored the strength of the partnership between the two countries, supported by high-level exchanges and regular rounds of political consultations between their respective foreign ministries. These efforts have contributed to deepening dialogue and enhancing coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.
The Ministry also highlighted the significance of the bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding signed over the past decades in key areas such as economic cooperation, investment protection, tourism, and culture. It noted that these legal frameworks constitute a solid foundation for advancing strategic cooperation between the two sides.
Additionally, the Ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to further enhance joint action with Mexico to serve shared interests and support sustainable development, while reflecting both countries’ dedication to promoting peace, stability, and international cooperation.
The Ministry also emphasised the importance of building on the achievements of the past five decades and exploring new avenues for cooperation to further develop the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Mexican States.
