International Date Route Launched from Buraidah Dates Carnival

Buraidah, August 10, 2025, SPA -- Qassim Governor Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz announced the launch of an international date route from the Buraidah Dates Carnival as a strategic move to solidify the Kingdom's global standing in the date industry and support national exports.
   The initiative follows a new cooperation agreement between the Buraidah Dates Carnival and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Cultural Integration Center. According to the governor, the project will create new marketing opportunities for Saudi dates and strengthen their presence in global markets.
   The governor stated that Qassim Region, home to over 11 million palm trees producing more than 100 date varieties, is well-positioned to lead this economic and cultural endeavor, adding that the project aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to foster a generation of entrepreneurial youth.
   This international date route is the first of its kind to integrate economic, cultural, and tourism activities. It aims to boost international trade by linking the Kingdom's date production to the historic Silk Road. The project operates on two parallel tracks: a field track that organizes local and international exhibitions, auctions, and cultural events, and a digital track that features an online platform to connect producers, investors, and buyers worldwide while providing a comprehensive database on dates.
