Saudi Arabia Participates in GCC Post and Telecom Committee Meetings

Riyadh, August 18, 2025, SPA -- The Kingdom participated in the 31st Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Committee for Undersecretaries of Post and Telecommunications, with a delegation led by Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Partnerships Eng. Mansour Saleh Al-Qurashi.
The session opened with a speech by the meeting's chair, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications of Kuwait Eng. Meshaal Jaber Al-Zaid, as Kuwait holds the presidency of the current session.
The participants discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of post and telecommunications and reviewed the work plan for the GCC telecommunications sector in preparation for the Ministerial Meeting of Post and Telecommunications scheduled for October. They also addressed developments in modern technologies and artificial intelligence and followed up on the implementation of decisions from the committee’s previous session.
The meetings concluded with consensus among member states on several recommendations and decisions aimed at developing the sector and strengthening its role in serving the interests of the countries and peoples of the region.
