Registration Opens for ISOCARP World Planning Congress
Riyadh, August 21, 2025, SPA -- The organizing committee of the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress -- organized by the Riyadh Municipality in collaboration with the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) -- opened multiple registration options for those wishing to participate in the December 1-4 event.
These include an early-bird discount for a limited time; reduced fees for local students, international participants, accompanying persons, and virtual attendees; and special discounts for authors. Discounted rates have been allocated for participants from countries classified by the World Bank as low- or middle-income.
The congress is held under the theme “Designing the Cities of Tomorrow, Today,” with the participation of experts and planners from around the world, to serve as a global platform for dialogue and exchange of expertise on the future of cities.
Its program includes showcasing innovative urban solutions, benefiting from the experience of global leaders in planning and design, as well as building strategic networks and partnerships that foster knowledge exchange and support sustainable urban development.
Participants will discuss contemporary urban planning issues, challenges related to population growth, efficient infrastructure management, the integration of modern technologies in city design, in addition to urban policies that support quality of life and achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability.
The congress aims to develop practical visions that contribute to building more resilient cities capable of adapting to change, while highlighting the role of community participation in shaping the future of cities and enhancing collaboration between governmental, private, and academic sectors, in a way that supports innovation in urban development management.
