Shura Chairman, Speaker receive Qatari Speaker

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar, and his accompanying delegation.

The visit comes as part of the delegation’s participation in the 19th Periodic Meeting of the Leaders of Shura, Representatives, National and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, hosted by Bahrain from November 11-13.

Al Musallam and Al Saleh commended the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Qatar, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

Al Ghanim expressed his gratitude to the Speaker of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Council of Representatives for their efforts in strengthening GCC parliamentary cooperation, commending Bahrain for its distinguished role in hosting GCC parliamentary meetings.
