National Arts Council Chairman receives Umm Al Qaiwain Tourism and Antiquities Chairman

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Arts Council, received Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Qaiwain, United Arab Emirates, during his visit to the Rashid Al Khalifa Art Foundation (RAK Art Foundation) in Riffa. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa commended the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE, and the continuous growth they enjoy under the leadership of both countries, particularly in promoting cooperation in cultural, artistic, and tourism domains.
He said the visit enhances cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries in art, heritage, culture, and tourism, supporting the cultural and creative development within the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa highlighted that the RAK Art Foundation is always pleased to host figures supporting art and culture, and is keen to expand regional collaboration to benefit the artistic and cultural sectors in the Gulf and the Arab world.
On his part, Sheikh Majid bin Saud commended the foundation’s leading role in supporting the Bahraini and Arab art scene and highlighting Bahrain’s cultural and artistic stature.
He reviewed the foundation’s main activities and initiatives, including its exhibitions and cultural projects that reflect the development of the Kingdom’s art scene and its role in supporting artists and fostering cultural dialogue and cooperation among creative communities.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud also toured the foundation’s facilities with Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, viewing its outstanding exhibitions and works, and expressed admiration for the creativity on display, which reflects the richness and authenticity of Bahrain’s cultural landscape.
Both sides underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and developing future partnerships in arts, exhibitions, and joint programmes to further enrich the artistic and tourism sectors in both countries and enhance their standing on the regional and international cultural map.
