Health Minister attends HE Egyptian Prime Minister's meeting, holds talks with health ministers

Cairo, Nov. 12 (BNA): At the third Global Conference on Population, Health and Human Development in Cairo, Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, attended the meeting between His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and conference guests. The meeting highlighted the event’s role in supporting international efforts to invest in people as key to achieving comprehensive, sustainable development.


 

During the conference, Dr. Hasan held several bilateral meetings with health ministers from participating countries. The meeting was attended by Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt,


 

She met with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population of Egypt, to discuss means to enhance bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt across health sectors, including training, medical research, and public health, enhancing efforts to improve healthcare quality in both countries.


 

The minister also underlined the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing health cooperation with Egypt and commended Egypt’s leading health initiatives as models for healthcare development and innovation.


 

She met Saleh Mahdi Al Hasnawi, Minister of Health of the Republic of Iraq, to discuss deepening bilateral health cooperation, especially in training and medical expertise exchange.


 

In another meeting, she conferred with Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers of the Republic of India, to explore joint cooperation opportunities in pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare system development, medical innovation, joint health investments, and specialised health training programmes.
