President Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to Pakistan concludes

Bishkek, Dec. 5, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which took place on December 3-4, has concluded.

On the first day of the visit, the head of state toured a military exhibition at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Islamabad.

NASTP is a modern platform uniting government agencies, academic institutions, and industry to advance research, design, and innovation in aviation, space, IT, and cybersecurity.

On the second day of the visit, Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in narrow and expanded formats. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and transport/logistics spheres, as well as the promotion of joint projects in energy, infrastructure, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Following this, ceremony was held to exchange signed documents aimed at expanding cooperation in the economic, seaport, education, healthcare, culture, agriculture, tourism, energy, justice, and legal matters. Same day, Sadyr Zhaparov and Shahbaz Sharif took part in the Investment Dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. Business forum participants were provided with detailed information on Kyrgyzstan's investment opportunities, with particular attention paid to the prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Pakistan.

He also met with Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Senate Speaker Yusuf Raza Gilani. According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed deepening interparliamentary cooperation, emphasized the importance of further developing political dialogue, and considered prospects for expanding the legal framework in transport and logistics, investment, economic, and other areas.

During the visit, the head of state also held talks with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in narrow and expanded formats. The parties discussed deepening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, developing transport and logistics ties, and expanding cultural and humanitarian interaction. President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on December 4.
