During the ceremony, Gen Jaswal presented five Sena
Medals (Gallantry), two Sena Medals (Distinguished Services),
Five Vashisht Seva Medals and 21 GOC-IN-C appreciation cards
to awardees.

To a question about intrusion and grabbing of land by
China in Ladakh sector, he said "there is no change in the
demarcated lines but there is some area over-lapping".
Parrying a direct reply regarding the efficacy of
border fencing and electronic due to continued and increased
infiltration bids along Indo-Pak border, he said
"infrastructure along the border is intact and Pakistan is
trying to push infiltrators to this side but Army is ready to
foil every such attempt".
On the eve of 62nd Army Day on Friday, he paid
tributes to those soldiers who made the supreme sacrifices to
preserve the unity and integrity of the nation. PTI AB
