Swine flu shows declining trend, one death reported
New Delhi, Jan 23 (PTI) Swine flu showed a declining
trend Saturday with only one death and 39 fresh cases being
reported from across India.
The lone death was reported from the western state of
Maharashtra, health ministry officials said.
The maximum number of 14 fresh cases were reported from
Gujarat closely followed by Maharashtra which reported 12
cases.
The national capital New Delhi reported 5 cases and
Rajasthan 4.
Till date, samples from 1,21,481 people have been tested
for Influenza A H1N1 in government laboratories and a few
private Laboratories across the country and 28,551 (23.5 per
cent) of them have been found positive.
All of the 39 cases reported during the day are
indigenous cases. PTI
