TEN UNDER-FIVES DIE OF MALNUTRITION IN LEBAK
Leban, Banten, June 23 (ANTARA) - Ten under-five-year-old children died of malnutrition in Lebak District, Banten Province, during January-June 2008.
A total of 953 under-fives were detected of suffering from malnutrition, and 10 of them died in Lebak during the past six months, Tata Sudita of the Lebak health service said here on Monday.
Factors which caused malnutrition included poverty, the parents' ignorance, and diseases such as TBC, diarrhea and respiratory problem.
