No invite to Pak, China for DefExpo this year

New Delhi, Feb 12 (PTI) India has not invited its
neighbours Pakistan and China for the sixth edition of the
biennial defence exhibition being organised here from February
15 to 18.

"We have not sent invitations to Pakistan and China for
the DefExpo-2010. In fact, they also do not invite us for such
events they organise. Last year, we had invited China to the
AeroIndia-2009 show in Bangalore, but it did not participate,"
Defence Production Secretary R K Singh said Friday.
DefExpo-2010, which will witness participation from 35
countries and will have official delegations from 41
countries, would be the largest ever held in the last decade
and Defence Minister A K Antony will inaugurate it.
Among the foreign countries to attend the exhibition, US
would have the largest representation, followed by Israel.
Among the countries to attend the exhibition, Bulgaria,
Hungary, Nigeria, Senegal, Surinam, Turkey, Uganda and United
Kingdom would send their Defence Ministers, while several
others, including Israel and Italy, would be represented by
their deputy ministers.
There would be delegations headed by some countries'
Defence Secretaries, Chiefs of Army and Navy too. PTI NCB
