Rupee gains 11 paise against dollar in early trade

RUPEE

Mumbai, Feb 15 (PTI) The Indian rupee appreciated against
the dollar by 11 paise to 46.39 on the forex market in early
trade Monday on fresh inflow of overseas funds amid rising
domestic equity market.

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, the
rupee appreciated by 11 paise to 46.39 a dollar. The rupee
had ended lower by 2 paise at 46.50/51 on Thursday. The
financial market was closed on Friday for Mahashivratri.
Forex dealers said inflow of overseas funds following
a rise in domestic equity market mainly influenced the trading
sentiment.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex was up 74.45
points, or 0.46 per cent to 16,227.04 points in early trade
