CBSE asks schools to cooperate on survey on quality of edu

New Delhi, Feb 21 (PTI) The CBSE has directed its
affiliate schools to cooperate with the NCERT and state
governments in providing information during a nation-wide
survey to evaluate the quality of elementary education.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in a
recent circular, has asked all heads of the schools to extend
full cooperation during the eighth All India School Education
Survey (AISES).
The survey will collect data on students' enrollment,
teachers' competence and infrastructural facilities from all
the recognised schools that will be compiled and used for
micro and macro-level planning of school education of the
country.
"It is mandatory for all schools affiliated with the CBSE
to supply the required information within 10 days from the
date of receipts of schedules from the NCERT or the state
governments.
"It is expected from all heads of CBSE-affiliated
institutions to extend full cooperation in conduction of
eighth AISES," the circular said.
The NCERT has also embarked upon a nation-wide survey to
find out degree of disability of physically challenged
students and the quality of elementary education in a bid to
help the government plan out proper policy for inclusion of
such children in education. PTI RRD
