Sarkozy condemns killing of Al Mabhuh in UAE territories

Paris - Feb 23, 2010 (WAM) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy has condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Mahmud al-Mabhuh. This came during a telephone conversation with the UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan last Friday in which the French President informed him of France's irrevocable condemnation of the killing that was carried out in Dubai and "in the territories of a country that works for peace, detente and cooperation among nations and peoples." Sarkozy said that the Israeli Charge d'Affaires in Paris was summoned over the use of a fake French passport, adding: "nothing can justify these methods."
