International economic forum

Astana, 28 June 2008, Khabar - The topical problems of the international forum in Astana, with the participation of leading scientists and economists from 45 countries of the world, were global convertibility of countries of Eurasian world, integration into world economy and consequences of the world 's financial crisis and the models of construction of successful economies by the example of developed countries of Europe and Asia were shown.

According to experts, now more and more counties are re-oriented on
so-called clever economy. For example, Malaysia needed 50 years to transmit
to this economy. According to the chief director of the institute of
strategic research professor Makhani Zhainal, this state gradually refusing
from raw material direction and Kazakhstan mainly repeated the Malaysian
model, but faster and more effectively.

We are first among CIS countries
which paid its debts to the International Monetary Fund, created financial
and pension institutes, attracted foreign investors. But now the world
economy is dictating new requirements.

Serik Nogerbekov, president, Economic Research Institute JSC, Ministry for
Economy and Budget Planning of RK:
- Our aim is to forecast the tendencies in the world economy and to be
ready. It is important to be prepared for processes what may occur and we
must act in advance.

The head of Russian institute on market problems Nikolai Petrakov thinks
that we should realize joint investment projects more actively. Investment
and nano technologies will provide extra working places and allow exchanging
the most progressive information.

- Kazakhstan is the centre of the Central Asian region. It has a connection
with Europe so the best variant of integration is via Kazakhstan. And also,
as President Nursultan Nazarbayev has performed with this initiative, we
should support it.

Within the limits of the forum the Eurasian club of scientists was formed
and president Nursultan Nazarbayev has become its honoured member.
Scientists and economists will be attentively watching all existent
processes in world economy and give recommendations to the governments of
their countries. And the first offer was to create in Kazakhstan branch institutes on the basis of highly effective production.

More close connection of theorists and experts will reduce the risks of enterprises and
will give the impulse to the development of scientific technologies.
