TV journalist injured in nighttime shelling of SOssetian capital.


VLADIKAVKAZ, July 4 (Itar-Tass) -- A South Ossetian television
journalist was injured in this night's shelling of the city of Tskhinvali.

The fire attack was mounted from the Georgian village of Nikozi. The injured man is South Ossetian television cameraman Azamat Kudziyev, 26, the press-service of the South Ossetian panel of the Joint Control Commission for the settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict has said.

Kudziyev has been taken to the republican hospital, where he is
receiving first aid. Doctors say his life is not in danger.

Tskhinvali's residential areas came under fire at 23:00 Moscow time on Thursday. Intensive grenade launcher, mortar and small arms fire lasted for about an hour. South Ossetia did not retaliate.
