Russia, China sign additional protocol on border (adds).
BEIJING, July 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi signed here on Monday an additional protocol-description of the line of the Russian-Chinese state border in its eastern part. This draws the line on the border delimitation, talks on which have continued for over 40 years, andfinishes the legal registration of the common border.
"The entry into force of concerned documents will give an additionalimpetus to the development of good-neighbourly relations between Russia and China, and first of all - to different cooperation of the border regions of the two states," Russian Foreign Ministry sources stressed before Lavrov's visit to China.
The two foreign ministers will discuss on Monday bilateral relations and cooperation on pressing international issues. During the two-dayvisit, Lavrov will also meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao.
