President of Cyprus receives Abdullah bin Zayed
Nicosia - July 29, 2010 (WAM)- President Demetris Christofias of Cyprus received here yesterday the visiting UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to President Christofias greetings President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Christofias praised his country's strong ties of friendship with the UAE. He said that he instructed the government officials to work towards strengthening relations and cooperation with the UAE in all fields.
He extended an invitation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Cyprus. He asked Sheikh Abdullah to pass on his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed UAE's keenness to develop cooperation, joint investments and trade exchange with Cyprus. The meeting was attended by UAE Ambassador to Lebanon '&' non-resident Ambassador to Cyprus Rahma Al Zaabi and other officials from the Foreign Ministry. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
