Azerbaijan, Belize discuss development of cooperation
Baku, November 18 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s permanent representative to UN, Ambassador Agshin Mehdiyev visited Belize on 13-16 November. Within the visit Agshin Mehdiyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belize Wilfred Elrington. The sides exchanges views on the ways of strenghtening the bilateral relations and prospects of the development of cooperation in all fields of the mutual interests and inprovement of treaty-legal basis of the cooperation.
Agshin Mehdiyev stressed the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and gave information about the occupation of Azerbaijani terretories as a result of agression by the neighboring country and Azerbaijan`s position on this conflict.
The diplomats discussed the issues of mutual interest within the international organizations of which the two countries are members and emphasized the necessity of the development of consultations in this direction.
Both sides pointed out the importance of the permanent high-level meetings to discuss the possibility of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, technical, education and cultural spheres.
