MPP OFFICIALLY REGISTERED IN SOC-INTERN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by the Secretary-General of Mongolian People's Party /MPP/ U.Khurelsukh has participated in a meeting of Socialist International, which ran in Paris, France, on November 15-16.
At this meeting, which gathered some 400 delegates representing 80 political parties from 60 countries, the delegaion had the party's new name registered officially, and met a president of Socialist International, Prime Minister of Greece George Papandreou, General Secretary of Socialist International Luis Ayala as well as a president of Women's Socialist International Pia Locatelli.
At these meetings Khurelsukh presented the results of the 26th Congress of his party and its politics of reform, exchanged views on cooperation prospects. He invited the Socialist International leadership to visit Mongolia during the 90th anniversary of the MPP which will be celebrated in 2011.
A result of these meetings, the sides agreed to hold a meeting of the Committee of the Socialist International Asia-Pacific region in Ulaanbaatar before the anniversary of the MPP.
