Azerbaijan, Lebanon discuss sport cooperation
Baku, November 20 (AzerTAc). Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade has today met visiting Minister of Youth and Sports of Lebanon Ali Hussein Abdullah.
Huseynzade highlighted activity and achievements of the National Olympic Committee.
He said “national leader Heydar Aliyev placed a particular importance on developing sports in Azerbaijan”.
“This policy is today being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.”
Huseynzade underlined Azeri athletes won 8 medals in the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
The Lebanese Minister praised Azerbaijan`s achievements in sport.
Abdullah said the Lebanese government, for its part, increased attention towards sports.
“We want to learn Azerbaijan`s experience,” he noted.
