Azerbaijan ready to supply about 5bn cubic meters of liquefied gas to Ukraine every year, minister

Kiev, November 27 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani minister of industry and energy Natig Aliyev has said his country is ready to supply about 5bn cubic meters of liquefied gas to Ukraine every year.
`Liquefied gas is our closest plan… We believe that about 5bn cubic meters of liquefied gas will be supplied to Ukraine from Azerbaijan every year,” Aliyev told a news conference as part of the Black Sea economic forum which started in Yalta on Friday
He noted that there is a plan to raise crude oil supplies to Ukraine.
“The predicted volumes will be raised to 5m tons a year. We will supply about 5m tons a year to Ukraine and Ukraine must voice readiness to accept this volume,” Aliyev said.
He said the crude oil and oil products to be refined at the oil refineries of Ukraine are at issue. These agreements were prepared by results of the meeting of the heads of the two countries.
“We have scheduled the long-term program of cooperation with Ukraine and primarily in the energy sphere, which is interesting to you`, Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev said.
He also said that in the past nine months Azerbaijan supplied more than 1m tons of oil and over 160,000 tons of oil products to the Ukrainian market.
The minister reminded that the Azerbaijani oil is already refined on the Ukrainian refinery in Kremenchug and oil products produced there are sold via net of petrol stations in Ukraine.
