President: Subsidies reform will improve weak people's financial status
Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Saturday that the government has made such a plan that the financial status of the weak strata of the society will improve with the implementation of the subsidy reform plan.
Addressing a gathering of drivers of intracity public transportation system, he noted that the law on subsidies reform plan belongs to all strata of the society and drivers will assist the government in implementing the plan.
Stating that energy consumption in Iran is four time that of the world, Ahmadinejad called for optimal use of energy.
Although subsidies reforms may be displeasing for a number of people, the government is determined to distribute the subsidies fairly, he said./end
