Tehran seriously intends to expand co-op with Lebanon: VP

Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA — Iran's 1st Vice-President underlined that Tehran seriously intends to expand international, regional and economic cooperation with Lebanon.
According to the report of Presidential Office website on Saturday afternoon, Mohammad Reza Rahimi, in a meeting with visiting Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, called relations between Iran and Lebanon 'firm' and 'sincere'.
He added that all capacities should be employed to expand ties and big steps should be taken in direction of both nations' interests.
Hariri, by referring to the old and historical relations between Tehran and Beirut, called for expansion of ties and development in politico-economic bilateral relations.
He described bilateral relations 'deep-rooted' and expressed hope that mutual ties would promot not only in the level of the two governments, but all non-governmental bodies, too./end
