Hamas leader says talks with Iran's speaker, excellent
Damascus, Nov 29, IRNA – Head of Political Bureau of Palestine's Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Khaled Meshaal said here that his Sunday talks with Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani have been excellent.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA correspondent, Meshaal termed his talks with Larijani on political issues and latest developments in the region as well as the issue of Palestine as 'constructive'.
Meshaal further hoped the 5th Asian Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Damascus, Syria, will bring about positive results in spport of the Palestinian issue.
The 5th Conference of Asian Parliamentary Assembly started work on Monday with participation of a number of the Asian parliament speakers including Iran's Larijani.
The conference is scheduled to discuss various issues including Palestine, globalization challenges, justice and health in Asia and promotion of cooperation between Asian parliaments./end
