IRNA-BTA review expansion of bilateral ties

Sofia, Nov 29, IRNA – IRNA Managing Director Ali-Akbar Javanfekr and his Bulgarian counterpart Maxim Minchev here on Sunday evening reviewed avenues to bolster bilateral cooperation.
Javanfekr, who is also presidential press advisor, arrived in Sofia, Bulgaria, from Istanbul where he attended the General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) which kicked off Thursday.
Lauding Tehran-Sofia amicable ties, the two officials called for further expansion of all-out cooperation between the two news agencies during their first round of talks.
The second round of bilateral talks between the IRNA chief and head of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) will be held on Monday during which an agreement on bilateral cooperation will be inked by the two sides.
During his stay in Sofia, Javanfekr will inspect various sections of BTA and will discuss issues of mutual interest with several Bulgarian officials including the deputy foreign minister./end
