President Ilham Aliyev attends first session of parliament`s fourth convocation
Baku, November 29 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today participated in the first session of the Milli Majlis`s fourth convocation.
The session started with opening remarks of head of the Milli Majlis administration Safa Mirzayev.
Under the parliament`s internal regulations, the oldest member of the parliament – Fattah Heydarov – announced opening of the session.
A list of MPs was read out.
President Ilham Aliyev made remarks at the session.
Ogtay Asadov was re-elected as chairman of the Milli Majlis while Ziyafet Asgarov as first vice-speaker and Bahar Muradova and Valeh Alasgarov as vice-speakers.
The parliament approved nominations of chairmen of committees including Ziyafet Asgarov (committee on security and defense), Ziyad Samadzade (committee on economic policy), Valeh Alasgarov (committee on natural resources, energy and environment), Eldar Ibrahimov (committee on agrarian policy), Hady Rajabli (committee on social policy), Arif Rahimzade (committee on regional affairs), Shamsaddin Hajiyev (committee on science and education), Nizami Jafarov (committee on culture), Rabiyyat Aslanova (committee on human rights) and Samad Seyidov (committee on international relations and interparliamentary ties).
