President: Iranian athletes source of real pride for country
Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Iranian athletes who won titles in Asian Games are source of great honor for the nation.
The President made the remark during a ceremony commemorating Iranian champions who won titles in the 16th Asian Games in China’s Guangzhou.
He said the Iranian sports and athletic circles are dynamic, progressive and source of honor for the country.
Iranian champions collected 20 gold, 14 silver and 25 Bronze medals during the Asian Games thus ranking fourth in the continent for the first time in the past three decades./end
