Lithuanian FM meets OSCE Minsk group co-chairs
Baku, December 8 (AzerTAc). Lithuanian FM Audronius Azubalis received OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov of Russia, Robert Bradtke of U.S. and Bernard Fassier of France as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss situation in the Southern Caucasus and Nagorno Karabakh.
Minister stressed a necessity of strengthening a role of OSCE secretariat, institutions and missions in resolution of the conflicts.
Participants discussed ways of possible development of peace talks on Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Influence of the OSCE Astana summit results on solution of the protracted conflicts was also touched on at the meeting.
Participants exchanged views on the steps encouraging mutual trust between the public of Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as discussed a plan of cooperation of Minsk group and Lithuania, which is to hold OSCE chairmansship in 2011.
