Forum of the European and Asian media kicked off in Kiev

Kiev, December 9 (AzerTAc). The Forum of the European and Asian Media (FEAM), organized by RIA Novosti News Agency kicked off yesterday in the Kiev hotel "Intercontinental" .

As earlier reported, over 200 representatives of printing and "electronic" mass-media from the CIS, Georgia and Baltic countries, and also the national journalistic unions, rectors of profile higher educational institutions, experts in the field of information policy and others take part in this forum. Azerbaijan at FEAM-2010 is represented by the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzerTAc) and independent Azerbaijan mass-media.

At the solemn ceremony sounded were congratulating statements of heads of the states and the international organizations. Forum participants were addressed by the ex-president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, the rector of the Kiev National University after T .Shevchenko, Ambassador Leonid Gubersky, the assistant to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Anna German, the editor-in-chief of RIA Novosti News Agency Svetlana Mironyuk and others.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli was present at the Forum.
