First regional Kazakh-Azerbaijani business forum underway in Aktau
Аktau, December 10 (AzerTAc). On December 9 in Aktau the first regional business forum of businessmen of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan started. The forum is jointly organized by the consulate general of Azerbaijan in the city of Aktau, the Ministries of economic development of Azerbaijan, the Association of business investments of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
The judge of the Mangistay Oblast Krymbek Kusherbayev in his opening statement at forum said that the action will promote cooperation strengthening between businessmen of this Oblast and Azerbaijan, to the discussion of new ways of establishing mutually beneficial dialogue. Undoubtedly, basic direction of cooperation is the oil and gas sector, and it is expected that the next 10 years the oil recovery volume will increase in Kazakhstan in 2 times, and the export volume will reach 95 million tons, he said.
In the frame of action, the exhibition of the food and industrial goods made in Azerbaijan also was organized, and the enterprises of Azerbaijan demonstrated their economic and investment potential.
At the business forum the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Mangistaymunaygaz Joint-Stock company signed the Memorandum of cooperation in the field of working out of oil deposits in the field of Mangistay, clearing of the territories polluted by extraction and transportation, improvement of ecological situation, the Kazakh tourist association and the Azerbaijan tourist association - the Memorandum of cooperation and mutual assistance, the State Company “Caspian Sea Operating” of Kazakhstan and ABIA – the Letter of Intention on site area allocation to the Azerbaijan investors in the Free Economic Zone in Aktau on placing of manufacturing enterprises, the National State Agency “Support to development of local maintenance” of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ABIA – the Memorandum on cooperation.
The action was also attended by ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan Zakir Hashimov, the consul general of Azerbaijan in Aktau Rashad Mammadov and the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Pirimbetov.
The business forum is in progress.
