President Ilham Aliyev receives outgoing Swiss ambassador

Baku, December 11 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Swiss ambassador Alain Guidetti who has completed his diplomatic mission in the country.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan-Switzerland relations had developed successfully during Guidetti`s tenure.
The Head of State underlined the importance of Swiss President Pascal Couchepin`s trip to Azerbaijan and also his visit to Switzerland. The President added the visits marked fruitful discussions aimed at boosting the relationship between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani leader thanked the outgoing Swiss ambassador for his contribution to the developing the bilateral ties, and wished him successes in his further activities.
Ambassador Guidetti, in turn, recalled the opening of Switzerland`s representation in Baku in 2008 with participation of President Pascal Couchepin. He pointed out the past four years marked a successful and fruitful beginning for the official representation.
The diplomat praised the ongoing development process in Azerbaijan that he witnessed during his tenure. He also expressed assurance that this development process would further continue.
