Azeri MPs meet Chairman of Lithuanian Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs
Baku, 13 December (AzerTAc). Members of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties have met today Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Lithuanian Seimas Emanuelis Zingeris.
Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee Samad Seyidov said relationship between Azerbaijan and Lithuania had reached the level of strategic partnership.
He noted Lithuania represents the European Union in Azerbaijan. “We have carried out several projects within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program,” he added.
Emanuelis Zingeris, in turn, said Azerbaijan was developing rapidly. He described the social and economic development processes in the country as an “exemplary”.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries` parliamentarians within international organizations, priorities of the Lithuanian OSCE Presidency and other issues of mutual interest.
