Parliament of Azerbaijan oks Russia-Azerbaijan Samur transboundary river deal

Baku, December 22 (AzerTAc). The Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has endorsed an agreement on cooperation in safeguarding and effective use of Samur transboundary river between governments of Russia nd Azerbaijan.
A Samur agreement was signed on September 3 after Russia-Azerbaijan talks.
The main aim of the agreement is to protect the ecosystem of Samur river and use effectively water for various needs.
The Azerbaijan-Russia joint commission to divide river water resources was established to realize the agreement.
